ADDITIONAL INFO

That's it!  If you'd like to minimize the program to run UT2004 and clean the cache out again later, remember to click "Re-Scan" on the File List tab.

I hope you enjoy the program as much as I enjoyed writing it....
Please send me an email with any comments, suggestions, or simply praise (always welcome) by clicking my address on Help/About.

Notes -

  1. The program uses the registry to locate UT2004, so if you've manually moved UT2004 you'll have to modify the registry setting using Regedit (search for "UnrealTournament" (no quotes/all one word)) *OR* the included "Troubleshooter Utility". For those that want to do it manually, here's a sample REG file (5 lines) that u can copy and paste to Notepad, edit, save (Example - UT2004.REG), and double-click the file you saved it as to import it into your registry:

    REGEDIT4
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unreal Technology\Installed Apps\UT2004]
    "Folder"="E:\\Games\\UT2004\\"

    **Note - if your UT dir is C:\UnrealTournament, then the "Folder=" line above would be "Folder"="C:\\UnrealTournament\\" **
  2. If you've renamed the default folders for Maps, Music, etc..,, then you'll need to modify the included INI file via the Tools menu.  This file contains the standard locations for all files used by UT and should NOT be modified unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing.
  3. The LOG that's written to where the program was installed can be viewed by selecting that option on the Tools menu.
  4. If a file already exists, the cache file will not be moved unless the "Overwrite File" option is checked.
  5. MODs, SKINs, and other misc files may require a manual edit of INI file(s) in order for them to work.  Contact the author or their website for instructions on how to do this.
